Living and working in upstate New York with it's declining cities and rural areas that haven't seen prosperity in generations, I find a rich source of material for making pictures. A seemingly empty city neighborhood on a Sunday morning and a deserted W.P.A.-era park in November have the same feel and appeal for me. I look for connections and use images to point out what fascinates me- the impact of man on the landscape, and the landscape's destruction of what humans have abandoned.
